Kritika's POV
My brother.
The words refused to leave my mouth properly.I stared at Love while the phone lay on the road near my feet.
Everything around me felt blurry.
The traffic,The people,The noise.....
Nothing made sense anymore.
"Love..." I whispered, my throat tightening.
His expression immediately changed.
The irritation disappeared.
The sarcasm disappeared.
For the first time since I'd met him...
He looked genuinely concerned.
"What happened?" he asked, taking a step closer.
I swallowed hard.
"My brother..."
The words broke halfway.
I hated that,I hated crying,I hated looking weak.
But right now I couldn't stop my hands from shaking.
I bent down and picked up the phone.
The screen was still glowing.
Mom Calling
My heart dropped.
Again.
Ten minutes earlier, I'd been arguing with Love in the middle of a road.
Now I felt like I couldn't breathe.
"Kritika."His voice was calm...Steady....
"Talk to me."
I closed my eyes.
"Mom said Yashvant got hurt."
The moment I said it aloud, everything became real.
"He was riding his bike."My voice trembled.
"He fell."
Love's jaw tightened.
"Is he okay?"
"I don't know."I said heavily.
That was the problem.
I didn't know. And my imagination was already creating the worst possibilities.
Without thinking, I grabbed my bag tighter.
"I have to go."
I turned around immediately. Then stopped.Because I had no idea how I was supposed to get home quickly. The roads were packed.Auto drivers were refusing rides. And my hands were shaking too badly to think.
"Kritika."
I looked up.
Love was already unlocking his bike.
"Get on."
For a second I just stared.
"What?"
"Get on."His tone left no room for argument.
Normally I would've argued.
Today?
I climbed onto the bike without a word.
The ride was silent....Painfully silent.
The evening wind hit my face while I stared at the road ahead.Every second felt too slow.Every red light felt personal.Every minute felt like an hour.
Then suddenly—
I felt the bike slow down.
"Kritika."He said without looking at me.
"Hm?"
"He's going to be okay."
My eyes stung.
"You don't know that."
"No."
Love glanced at me through the mirror.
"But panicking won't help either."
I looked away.
For some reason...
His words actually helped.
Just a little.
And I hated that.
Because somehow the one person who annoyed me the most was becoming the one person I wanted beside me during a crisis.
That realization was terrifying.
Twenty minutes later we reached my house.
The gate was open and Mom stood outside.
The moment she saw me, she rushed forward.
"Mom!"
She immediately hugged me.
"He's fine."She said Calmly.
My entire body relaxed.
Just two words.
He's fine.
I nearly cried.
"What happened?" I asked.
"He has a fracture," Mom replied. "The doctors said he'll recover."
I closed my eyes in relief.
Thank God....Thank God....
Only then did I notice Love standing a few feet away.
Quiet,Respectful,Waiting....
Mom followed my gaze.
For a second, her eyes moved between us...Then she smiled.
And I immediately knew what she was thinking.
Absolutely not.
"Mom."I said with irritation.
"What?"She said with smirk.
"Don't."
She looked far too amused.
Dangerous.
Very dangerous

Love’s PoV
The moment she disappeared inside the house, I finally exhaled.
I hadn't realized how tense I was.
Which was ridiculous.
Yashvant wasn't my brother and also Kritika wasn't my responsibility.
And yet...
The moment I'd seen fear in her eyes—
Idk but Something inside me had reacted instantly
Protect her.
The thought came so naturally it annoyed me.
I leaned against my bike and think that This was getting worse.
Much worse.
Because somewhere between practical classes and stupid arguments...I'd started caring. And that was a problem actually A huge problem.
Then My phone vibrated.
Kabir...Of course.
I answered.
"Where are you?" he asked immediately.
"Outside."
"Helpful."He started again.
I rolled my eyes.
"What do you want?"I asked him.
Kabir laughed.
"Nothing. Just wanted to tell you something."
I already didn't like his tone.
"What?"I said while exhaling.
"You know that new girl?"
I frowned.
"Which one?"
"The one who was flirting with you in the cafeteria."He replied.
Riya.
"What about her?"
There was a pause.
Then Kabir spoke.
"She's asking about you."
I sighed."And?"
"And she's also asking about Kritika."
That got my attention....Immediately.
My posture straightened.
"What do you mean?"
Kabir's voice became serious.
"I don't know."
A strange feeling settled in my chest...The kind that usually appeared before something bad happened.
"Maybe it's nothing," Kabir added.
Maybe.He replied.
But I wasn't convinced....Not even close.
Because the way she'd looked at Kritika earlier...
Something felt off.....Very off.
Before I could think further, the front door opened.
I looked up.
And froze.
Kritika walked outside and the stress was gone Uhmm Mostly But her eyes looked tired And somehow...
She still found a way to look beautiful.
I immediately looked away.
Dangerous thought....Very dangerous thought.
"Thank you."She said while waking near me.
I blinked.
"What?"
She stopped in front of me.
"Thank you," she repeated softly.
⸻
For a moment, neither of us spoke...Because this wasn't normal.
Kritika never thanked me ...She usually insulted me....Or argued....Or annoyed me.
This felt wrong.
"I'll survive," I replied.
A tiny smile appeared on her face.
"There he is."She said while looking at me.
"What?"I said with confusion.
"The annoying version."
I smirked.
"You're welcome."
The smile grew on her face.
And suddenly—
The world felt strangely lighter.
Then the front door opened again.
And chaos returned.
Yashvant appeared,With a cast on his arm....And the biggest grin I'd ever seen.
"Ohhhhhh."He said.
No.....Absolutely not....I knew that tone....Immediately.
"Kritika brought a boy home."He said like he just got the great news of his life.
I looked at the sky and closed my eyes.
This child was evil....Pure evil.

Kritika’s PoV
I wanted to throw him back into the hospital.
Immediately.
"Yashvant."I said angrily.
"Oh my God," he continued dramatically. "Mom! Dad! Didi has a boyfriend!"
I lunged at him but unfortunately He ran.
Love laughed.
He actually laughed.
Traitor....
The next twenty minutes were complete chaos.
Mom teasing me,My so called injured brother Yashvant refusing to shut up.
Love somehow surviving the madness.
And me considering murder.
Eventually, things settled.
Love left.
And the house became quiet.
And for the first time all evening...I finally relaxed uhmm Or tried to.Because the moment I entered my room...My phone buzzed when I checked I got a message from Unknown Number.
I frowned.
Then opened it.
And immediately froze.
The message contained only one line.
"Stay away from Love Malhotra."
My heartbeat stopped...For a second,Then again another message arrived.
A photo.
My hands trembled.
Because the photo wasn't random. It was me.
Taken today.
Outside college...Without my knowledge....Without my permission.
Someone had been watching meAnd they also knew about Love then The third message arrived seconds later.
This time my blood ran cold.
"Next time, I won't just send a warning."
My phone slipped from my fingers....And somewhere across the city...Without knowing why...
Love suddenly felt that same strange feeling in his chest again.
Like something terrible had just begun.....
Who's messaging Kritika. Why He/She don't want Love and Kritika together.
Stay tune for next part.
Some enemies stand in front of you.
The most dangerous ones watch from the shadows. 👁️🗨️📖
